Audrey & Eldad Hagar never imagined that when they began photographing the hundreds of fostered dogs (and other creatures) who came through their home, that they would actually create a book. They just wanted to remember the animals they had shared great memories with.

“We rescued Bradley from the shelter last night, and today I took him to a neurologist.

The doctor had only sad news for Bradley…

We agreed he should go to sleep and not suffer this severe hydrocephalus. (as you can see, his head is weirdly shaped due to a lot of fluids in his head / brain).

I didn’t want to let him go yet, so from the vet I took Bradley to the beach, I sat with him, played with him, and I fed him many cheeseburgers and fried chicken.

We sat there for two hours, and after that I took him to the vet’s office right on the beach, and he went to sleep forever :-(

It was such a sad day… I cried like a baby for this little guy. Even now when I am typing these words, tears are coming to my eyes…” (The end)

edit:: reading this story makes me cry. sure, i’m a crier but i don’t know what i would do if i had to say good-bye to harlow. i would definitely feed her cheeseburgers and french fries and ice cream. see? here i go again. ok… must read something very happy.

Do you see where it says I used 2331 texts out of 200? I send maybe 20 text a month… if that. But the weird thing is is that these are all (with the exception of about 20) received texts. Wouldn’t you think I noticed if my incoming texts quadrupled times ten?? Who are all these people texting me and why am I not getting them?! What you don’t see is that my total bill for ONE MONTH is $317.82.

Oh yeah, and my bill is due today. I always pay it at the last minute (but never late) and I never look at my bill because it’s always exactly the same each month and has been since I got my contract. So I call and talk to a nice sounding girl named Kristin or Christine or something. She asks me to wait while she gets into her system. Fine. No biggie. I’m cool, I’m calm… I can be patient. During the next few minutes she checks back a few times and apologizes for the wait. No problemo. I’m easy like a Sunday morning. Twenty minutes later my patience is fading. I keep telling myself that it’s not her fault and getting upset won’t do either of us any good. But all we get accomplished is having someone else call me back within 72 hours and her promising that this won’t make my bill overdue… So basically I was on the phone for 47 minutes and nothing was accomplished.

But I didn’t yell or cry. (Does that make me sound like a baby? Well, when I get frustrated I cry… that’s just how I roll.)

So is AT&T in the habit of playing jokes on their customers? Cause if they are this is a good one!

I especially love the first painting by Roxanne’s. They’re all gorgeous though.

I’ll admit I’ve never heard of some of these groups but I’m excited to have a listen. I really like Les Plastiscines.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a Harlow post … which has taken quite a bit of self control because she’s the cutest/silliest/sweetest dog ever and I’m pretty much obsessed with her.

Besides all living creatures Harlow has 3 great loves in her life. They are:

1. My socks. Either on or off my feet she just can’t get enough of them. If she manages to get ahold of one of mine she never chews it up, she just carries it around with her…. all day. She’ll even take it to bed with her if I let her. I promise I rarely let her. She loves clean and dirty socks equally.

2. Dryer sheets. She looooves it when I come in with a basket of laundry to fold. She wiggles from head to toe and does everything in her power to get the dryer sheet out of the basket. It is the only thing that she will ignore the “leave it” command for. She just can’t help herself. People try to tell me she likes them so much because the smell reminds her of me. But if she had to choose between me and the dryer sheet I don’t think I’d stand a chance.

3. That twig. Not just any twig but that specific one. She’s had it for months. She plays with it both inside and outside and has had it for at least 6 months without losing it. It must have just the right texture or something. If it was sharp I’d take it away from her because I would hate for her to poke her eye out… again. I have stopped buying her toys since her and Twig are so happy together.

See? She’s pretty much the cutest dog ever. My favorite thing about her (well one of) is that she loves everyone. She has no fear of people or other animals and wants to be everyone’s friend. She’s got a lot of love to give.
