i heart weekends

This weekend is the West Beach Music Festival. YAY!
(hopefully my ear gets un-plugged/clogged/whatever before tomorrow night or I won’t be able to hear anything!)

Bonbon Oiseau is having a great sale/giveaway.

If I were in NYC I’d go the see Erin’s Exhibit at Don’t Become the Things You Hate.

How much would you love to design your own Shabby Apple dress?

Baking-wise I am going to make this Ethiopian Honeyspice bread this weekend.

Instant Gratification: The Polaroid Legacy is a great blog on the history of the Polaroid.

I’m trying to learn french one word at a time.

That may be because I visit Haven in Paris daily. I can’t help it… I need to go.

Haven in Paris

So this morning I was taking a little break from spreadsheet hell and was look at Joanna’s gorgeous honeymoon photos when I noticed one of her sponsors was Haven in Paris. They have some gorgeous properties in Paris, Provence, and Tuscany at variety of price points.

I’d happily spend a week or two in this little studio:

And there’s always this amazing place in Provence:

Seriously though, I’m very excited about the studio. I got all heart-fluttery excited this morning. Want to come with me?

If anyone has any other suggestions for apartment rentals I’d love to hear them!

“Then you haven’t been hugged properly. It’s an emotional Heimlich. Someone puts their arms around you, gives a squeeze. All your fear and anxiety comes shooting out of your mouth in a big, wet wad and you can breathe again.”
– Pushing Daisies

(in case you didn’t know OTH is my guilty pleasure… well one of… this is the best hug moment. aww)

thankies

People kept leaving stuff on my desk today. Good stuff…

… like pizza and strawberries and best of all a new (to me) Polaroid camera.

why hello there friday

This one totally snuck up on me. This week has been insanely busy. I love that. And I bought my plane ticket to Utah – so if the weeks can keep flying by that would be awesome. K, thanks.

My fig obsession is not over. I can’t wait to make this recipe. If you haven’t visited Aran’s blog you should. Her recipes and photography will warm your heart.

I broke down and decided to bring this little guy home with me.

And this cute little fan is on it’s way to me.

There are some really cute dresses (with sleeves!) over at Thread Social.

Holly posted the cutest DIY project. I’m not so good at the DIY but this is one I really want to do.

Oh and there’s always this little lunch bag DIY project that I think would be fun -since I have lunch stealing coworkers.

Blond Amsterdam has the cutest website amd even cuter mugs. And if you stay on one page long enough little critters will crawl across your screen.

Oh and please, please go and vote for Jen’s photo on the cover of Real Simple as Best Magazine Cover of the Year. It’s in the House & Home section.

Okay that’s all. Have a wonderful weekend!
