Flea Market Style by Emily Chalmers has been on my wishlist for awhile now but after seeing Anne’s book review I knew that I could wait no more!
I love the white walls and splashes of color and the fun bold prints. I can’t wait to have my own home to start decorating! But I am definitely not waiting until I have a home to buy the book! And the flower chandelier below is amazing.

Possibly the cutest graffiti ever? Well, besides this.

I’m just posting this because it was a sweet/funny moment. It will probably sound like a silly nothing. It probably is. But it was sweet.
This is the point of the post:
Last Sunday at church about 15 minutes into sacrament meeting I look to my right and see Tessa (one of the 5 yr olds in my class) inching her way along the pew towards me. I thought she must have a message from her parents, which would be weird in the middle of church, or something. She walks past her two teenage cousins and gets up on the bench next to me. I said hi and asked her what she was doing and she smiled and said “Nothing, I just wanted to sit with you.” I looked over at her parents and they smiled. She then took a piece of paper out of her bag along with a ziploc baggie of Crayons and started coloring. I smiled and told her what a nice surprise it was and continued doodling on the back of my program.
See? It sounds silly. But even so, it may or may not have made me to get a little teary-eyed.
Tessa drew this on my phone with iDoodle.
Are you a morning person? I am not – not even a little bit. But since my 9-5er is really a 7-4er I get up every morning at 4:45 am. To make the mornings a little less painful I have been putting together a playlist of songs to help ease me into the day. Something cheery, but mellow… I need something gentle to get me started. The mornings that I’ve woken up to my iPod blaring “we’ve got more bounce in California” are too hard on my heart. So here are a few that I’ve been listening to lately that I wanted to share with you. If you want to download them just change the “hxxp” to “http” in the address bar, and if you like them please buy them from the artist. Most of these songs contain the word “sunshine”. Sunshine in the morning helps too. Enjoy!

If you have any suggestions that I can add to my playlist please let me know!
ps – Once I’m on my way to work it’s a whole different playlist… much more Black Eyed Peas-ish.
I’m going to admit it right now, I speak a petit bit of French. That word “petit” there is about it… with the occasional “oui”, “moi”, and of course “pois rouge”. But this doesn’t hold me back from following lots of French blogs.
One of my favorites is Cachemire et Soie (which I just figured out means “cashmere and silk”). This post about Salon de the Mamie Gateaux makes me want to hop on a plane now. From what I understand (with the help of my French-English dictionary) it’s an adorable cafe/boutique. Doesn’t it melt your heart?
